Essential Items Used in Catholic Religious Services

Scriptures

Paten

Corporal

Ciborium

Thurible

Processional Cross
A cross mounted on a staff carried during processions into and out of the church, and at the start of liturgical celebrations. It’s placed on the altar when not in use.
Pall
A stiff, white cover placed over the chalice or paten to prevent particles from contaminating the Eucharist.
Communion Cups
Similar to the chalice, these smaller cups are used during communion for believers to partake of the wine, stored on the side table and brought forward during the rite.
