Powertrain
The new Jeep® Wrangler 4xe integrates a lithium-ion battery with two electric motors, paired with a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and an eight-speed automatic transmission. This setup enhances fuel economy and performance, delivering approximately 470 lb-ft of torque and 375 horsepower, achieving an impressive 49 MPGe combined. Battery
The hybrid system includes a lithium-ion battery stored beneath the second-row seat, protected from external elements. It features an efficient heating and cooling system to optimize performance. Charging is quick, taking about two hours with a Level II charger (240V) and up to 12 hours with a Level I charger (120V). Note that the charging station must be purchased separately.
Driving Modes (E-Selec)
Drivers can choose from three modes: Hybrid, eSave, and Electric. Hybrid mode blends electric power with the engine for maximum torque and acceleration. eSave mode prioritizes engine power to conserve battery charge, which can be recharged during driving. Electric mode uses battery power exclusively, driving up to 21 miles on a full charge before switching to engine power. Mode controls are located conveniently on the dashboard.
