The Honda Civic remains a top choice in the compact car segment, renowned for its fuel economy and agile handling. Its stylish and comfortable design continues to appeal to daily drivers. The 2017 Civic models have gained popularity, offering an average of 32 mpg in city driving and 42 mpg on highways. Priced between $18,000 and $29,000, these vehicles come equipped with advanced tech features like a large touchscreen infotainment system, adaptive cruise control, and forward collision alerts, all standard across variants.

Thanks to Honda's focus on safety enhancements, the Civic was named a 2017 Top Safety Pick by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The 2017 lineup also introduced a new hatchback version, offering a spacious 46.2 cubic feet of cargo space with the rear seats folded. Upgrades in safety and design have been applied to both the sedan and coupe models introduced in 2016, making them more appealing and secure.

While models from Mazda3 and Chevrolet Cruze are usually less expensive, the Civic justifies its price through comprehensive standard features, saving buyers from costly upgrades for infotainment or interior packages. Ideal for commuters and highway drivers, the Civic offers two potent engine options: a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with around 158 hp, and a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine producing approximately 174 hp, exclusive to hatchback variants. All models feature front-wheel drive, with options for manual or automatic transmissions, ensuring smooth acceleration whether in city traffic or on open roads.
