Essential Insights Before Purchasing the 2020 Honda CR-V
Honda has established itself as a leading manufacturer of reliable and versatile vehicles. Known for smooth rides, spacious interiors, and fuel efficiency, Honda’s lineup continues to impress. The 2020 Honda CR-V, one of the brand’s best-sellers, exemplifies these qualities. If you're considering buying this model, here’s what you should know about it.
What’s new for 2020? The updated CR-V features a modern look and improved features, including a hybrid version with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine paired with an electric motor for enhanced performance.
Honda replaced the previous 2.4-liter engine with a turbocharged 1.5-liter four-cylinder as the standard across all non-hybrid trims. The 2020 model also features Honda Sensing® Suite on all trims, offering advanced driver-assistance features such as collision mitigation, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Additionally, styling has been refreshed for a more modern appearance.
Available in both standard and hybrid versions, the 2020 CR-V offers four trim levels: LX, EX, EX-L, and Touring, with hybrid variants available for each. The popular EX trim includes a 7-inch touchscreen compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, dual-zone climate control, heated seats, and a 12-way powered driver’s seat. Both front-wheel and all-wheel drive options are offered.
Powering the non-hybrid models is a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine delivering 190 horsepower and 179 lb-ft of torque, ensuring smooth performance in urban and rural conditions. The hybrid models combine a 2.0-liter engine with an electric motor, and a continuously variable transmission provides quick acceleration and efficient fuel consumption across all hybrid trims.
The infotainment system supports Apple CarPlay and Android Auto for seamless device integration. The HondaLink app enhances convenience with vehicle notifications and service scheduling. For entertainment, the CR-V boasts a 330-watt, 9-speaker premium audio system with a subwoofer, providing high-quality sound through its 7-inch touchscreen display.
